Hailing from Berkeley, California, Counting Crows have, since their 1991 debut, become one of America's most interesting and recognisable bands, with their soulful vocals and swelling, alternative music that inspires and compels in equal measures. With hits such as 'Mr Jones', 'Colorblind' and 'Accidentally In Love,' they have come to define the 1990's and permeate pop culture as an ethical and organic group and have sold over 20 million records worldwide.
This summer, they take on a new tour ahead of the release of their as yet unnamed 8th album, with fellow 90's stalwarts Toad the Wet Sprocket.
After reuniting in 2006, Toad the Wet Sprocket have set out to honour their contribution to the landscape of the early 90's, including 1991's 'All I want' and 'Walk on the Ocean', by performing, reworking and updating their back catalogue, without losing their emotional core.
Named after a Monty Python Sketch, Toad have recently released the much-lauded New Constellation, funded by fans through a very successful kick starter. With sun-drenched Californian vibes, hopeful, catchy melodies, they have picked up where they left off, without losing themselves to nostalgia.
